“Sasagirian” is a place to learn Japanese
traditional tea ceremony, flower arrangement, and calligraphy. Through experiencing Japanese traditional
culture, you will also learn cultural history and the culture of hospitality
called “Omotenashi”. “Sasagirian” is located in Kibogaoka, a space surrounded by mountains,
greenery and flowers, and is a surprise for all who visit. With the guidance of each instructor, you
will sense tranquil moments of “Wabi-Sabi” the Japanese sense of beauty. Some of
the charms in Sasagirian include
being able to sense and experience Japanese and
Ryukyu style sweets in tea ceremony class, Okinawan tropical flowers in flower
and the heart of Ryukyu in calligraphy class.
The lessons can be offered totourists in both Japanese and
English. At Sasagirian you can spend serene, tranquil moments in a traditional Japanese tearoom tucked away in a quiet corner of Kibogaoka.
